Centreville is a planned community located in the Northern Virginia area of Fairfax County. Centreville is commonly used to describe both the census-designated place (CDP) and the nearby high school.
There are several historic sites near Centreville on Route 29 including Historic Christ Church, Ashford Manor House, Laurel Hill Plantation House, Clermont Mill and McLean’s Ford.
Centreville is also host to two major office/industrial parks in the county with large companies having headquarters or campuses there. One of them is located in the Lee-Jackson Industrial Area and another one off Route 29/Braddock Road.
Centreville High School serves public school students from Centreville and several nearby communities with a total population of about 35,000. The school was named an “American Honor Roll” school in 2011 by the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program for excellence in academics, including both Advanced Placement courses and overall student academic achievement.
